Lichen simplex chronicus (LSC), also known as neurodermatitis, is a chronic skin condition caused by repeated scratching or rubbing( psychological stressors) . It can affect people of all ages, but is more common in adults that presents as dry, patchy areas of skin that are scaly and thick.
The most common areas are on self-accessible areas of the body such as the scalp, head, neck, hands, arms, and genitals.
